About the calculator

The calculator is an illustration, not a forecast or a promise. It treats 60% of leads as winnable and applies a loss rate based on how fast you reply: 4% under 5 minutes, 28% within 30 minutes, 42% within an hour and 60% same or next day. These rates are a working model shaped by published research. They are not figures published by that research.

The "extra profit" figure assumes every lead gets a reply in under 5 minutes and uses the profit margin you enter. Your real numbers will differ.

About the research we quote

Speed-to-lead figures (such as 100x and 21x) come from the MIT / InsideSales study by Dr. James Oldroyd, published via Harvard Business Review. Follow-up figures (such as 80% of sales needing 5 to 12 touches and 92% of salespeople stopping before the 5th) come from InsideSales and Invesp data, widely republished. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by any of these organisations.
